Here, brave traveler, you shall find the sketches, drawings, and paintings that I’ve done for the worlds I create and the stories I tell. Anywhere from settings, to characters, to wild creatures, I enjoy creating with both pencil and watercolor.

These are made-up creatures I’ve created and sketched with pencil. I keep them all collected in a “Creature Journal” where I can pull from any time I need to write about a creature in a story I’m working on. Many of them will show up in different places across my stories!

Creating the Art for Wings of the Sunrise
I traced a border onto the paper before filling it in with quick sketches of the leaves and silhouettes. After that, I filled in the background with green watercolor paints. Each time, I added a new layer of leaves, painting the black silhouettes last.

Waterfall
A waterfall painting done with watercolors. Many of the stories I write take place in a jungle setting, and that’s where I get much of my inspiration for world building.
Creating the Concept Art for The Sunburnt Star
A painting of the concept cover art for my current work in progress, The Sunburnt Star. I sketched out the leaf border outlines, then painted with mixed shades of blue and green. Once the background was done, I painted the leaves black and added the specks of white.

Character Sketch
A character that I sketched out with pencil before painting over with shades of brown and grey watercolor. He will appear in my novel and current work in progress, The Sunburnt Star.
